3 Days and 2 Nights with my 3 Favorite things: Yoga, Wine and Nature! Need I say more? Well, how about Delicious Food (Some Healthy and Some not so Healthy) all nestled next to a gorgeous river on a property sprinkled with dozens of shade trees and plenty of hammocks? Oh yeah!!! And of course a couple of my super adorable Lil' Goats will be attending as well!!! See Goats :)
The property is brimming with Texas charm and elegance. The retreat will be held on a 2 acre property that overlooks the San Marcos River. Elevated decks surround by gorgeous trees allow for amazing views of the river and the sunsets. We have a space both indoor and out that allows us to soak up the natural beauty of this setting as we practice yoga.
We will spend our time here learning the basics of physical Yoga practice (or asanas) and developing an understanding of the Philosophy of Yoga as it applies to our daily lives.
The Yama's and Niyamas are the ethical precepts, or core values, of yoga as well as its starting place—meant to be practiced before you do your very first Sun Salutation. They provide a recipe for living in the world with ease. Think of them as yoga's Ten Commandments, but they aren't concerned with right or wrong in an absolute sense. "There's no thought of heaven or hell. It's about avoiding behaviors that produce suffering and difficulty, and embracing those that lead to states of happiness." Mastering the Yamas and the NIyamas will help create Harmony, both with in and all around you.
We will also create a beautiful custom craft together that you can take home as a reminder of this experience :) See Craft Here. And my Favorite!!! We will also have wine tasting and fondue party on the property.
Imagine a weekend with 20 of your closest friends set on a beautiful riverside property. Add a fun craft, great food, suitably challenging yoga classes and some adorable goats and you get this Retreat! Please note that all common areas are shared and most bathrooms are shared. If you are looking for a retreat of solitude, quite and total relaxation this is probably not the one for you :)
Reservation Deadline is January 5th!!! Spaces are limited :) I hope you can join us!!!!

“When we adopt the mind of a beginner, we are able to look at things as if for the first time, free from the influence of the past or speculation about the future. We open ourselves to what is here now... This opens us up to new possibilities...”
